  • Bad Role Models

Anyone watching the news knows that famous people, such as athletes, politicians, and actors, are not always good role models. Heck, they are sometimes not even good people, yet our culture promotes these people to a high social status. Roles models are people who make the world a better place, such as police officers, firemen, environmentalists, scientists, and even parents raising children just to mention a few.

Teach that to young people. Next time you hear a child praising someone famous, ask them what good has the celebrity really done to society. Show children by example who is a real hero.
