Cancer versus TerrorismAbout 13% of all deaths worldwide are caused by cancer, however less than 1% of 1% of all deaths are caused by terrorism. So why is it that hundreds of billions of dollars a year are spent by the United States of America and other governments to prevent terrorism, yet funding research for finding a cure for cancer is almost insignificant in comparison? Since millions of more people die a year from cancer than terrorism, curing cancer should be a much higher priority for our leaders than stopping terrorism. Our leaders, from all countries and all levels of governments, need to pay more attention to the issues that are worse for their people, such as cancer, and pay less attention to popular issues that are statistically less impacting.
