Hypnotic Learning
For most people, hypnosis is a mystery. To help clarify this mystery, here is Wikipedia's definition:
"Persons under hypnosis are said to have heightened focus and concentration with the ability to concentrate intensely on a specific thought or memory, while blocking out sources of distraction."
Because of this unique conscious state, hypnosis has two uses. First, it is used for therapeutic reasons. Second, it is used as entertainment.
Well, I think there might be a possible third usage. If people have heightened focus and concentration when hypnotized, then they could learn at a much faster rate. For example, learning new vocabulary words could be much easier when under hypnosis. Even learning a new language or anything that requires a lot of memorization could be easier and faster under hypnosis.
This is simply just any idea. I have absolutely no experience with hypnosis, but it is interesting to think about what else hypnosis could possibly be used for.
