Small, Average, Great, and Greater Minds

There is a famous saying, of disputed origin, that goes something like this:

Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events,
[and] small minds discuss people.

While I completely agree with this proverb, I would like to expand this saying to include a few more items.

First, small minded people talk about other people (gossip), entertainment (movies, music, etc.), and things (latest technologies, cars, etc.).

Second, average minds enjoy travelling and talk about events including political happenings.

Third, great minds discuss ideas, politics (excluding political speeches and on-going political events), and philosophy.

Finally, greater minds think of and discuss new and original ideas, research, and philosophies thus expanding mankindís knowledge.
