Soft Drinks are Liquid Candy

Ever looked at the ingredients of most soft drinks? The first ingredient is always water, while the second ingredient is almost always sugar. Typically, this sugar is in the form of high fructose corn syrup. This is why soft drinks are also called liquid candy.

As you probably already know, consuming excessive sugar is bad. Too much sugar can and will cause mood swings, weight gain, diabetes, hypertension, and a lot of other medical problems. Even diet soft drinks are full of unhealthy chemicals, known as artificial sweeteners, in order to make them taste better.

This is why I drink water and juice as much as possible. For instance, I almost never buy soft drinks to bring home, unless I am going to have guests come over to my home. I only order soda at restaurants about once a week or less.

I am even careful about the juice that I buy. The juice must be 100% juice with only two possible additives: vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or calcium. This is because I do not think that I eat enough fruits, so I help guarantee that I get my daily serving of fruits in the drinks that I consume. Furthermore, the additives are only vitamins and minerals that are good for me, without any possibly harmful chemicals.

I recommend this diet to everyone.
